If you own other Apple devices like the iPhone or iPad, you can connect them to your Mac via AirPlay or Lightning/USB-C cable and then use your iOS device as the screen sharing display while you’re actively video chatting and looking at other participants on your Mac. ZoomIt is not available for Mac but there are some alternatives that runs on macOS with similar functionality. If your Mac is running an older version of macOS, you won’t be able to take advantage of Zoom’s screen sharing tools. This wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the native screen recording functionality in modern MacOS releases. Now you’ve successfully managed to share your Mac’s screen during an ongoing Zoom meeting. When you’re done screen sharing, click on “Stop Share”, as shown below. You will be able to pause the share using the controls at the top. You’ll be notified when you’ve started sharing your screen. Now, select your desktop and click on “Share” again to start the screen sharing session.

You can close this window and go back to Zoom. You may be prompted to relaunch your Zoom, but that’s not necessary. Here, choose “Screen Recording” from the left pane and check the box next to Zoom. This will automatically take you to the Security & Privacy section. When you’re prompted to give Zoom the necessary permissions to share your screen, click on “Open System Preferences”. Here, you’ll be able to choose your desktop for screen sharing. This will open a new window on your screen.Once you’re in an active meeting, click on the “Share Screen” option from the bottom menu, as shown in the screenshot below.Launch “Zoom” on your Mac and host or join a meeting.

If anyone knows how i can use the Zoom box and still have the full screen zoom at the same time, please let me know.As the name would imply, this feature lets you share whatever is on your Mac screen with other participants in the Zoom meeting.īefore you go ahead with the following procedure, make sure your Mac is running macOS Mojave or later. The one big drawback to this bit of wit is once you do check the "Zoom in window" check box, you lose the ability for zoom options - command-option-(=) and command-option-(-) or control-up and control-down - to zoom the entire screen - those keyboard commands will now only zoom the Zoom box. but the "Zoom window" box is as simple as option-command-8 and then zooming in or out with the method you choose for zooming in or out. Anyone in the world can join a Zoom meeting, but only a host can start/create meetings.

Zooms web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Needless to say, bringing up the "temporary-zoom" box takes some practice. Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings. more importantly, for the "enable temporary zoom (control-option)" to work right, it's command-option-8 to turn the Zoom box on, then control-zoom all the way out, then control-option will make the window appear only while you hold down those keys. Enter your OS administrator username and password, then click Unlock.

At the bottom-left corner of the Security & Privacy window, click the lock icon so that changes can be made. the reason i say this is because when you option-command-8, use Control to zoom in and out in the Zoom box if at appears nothing is happening, or command-option-(-) or command-option-(=). Click the Apple logo at the top left corner of your screen. It's important to keep "use scroll wheel with modifier keys to zoom" checked with a shortcut - i use Control. button lets you set the Zoom window size and some other stuff. once you check the "Zoom in window" check box, the Options. Control-Option brings up the Zoom window only while you hold down those modifier keys. under Zoom, just click the box that says "Zoom in window." Option-Command-8 brings it up and makes it go away. I'm not sure how far back the info i am about to give goes, but on Lion in system prefs/universal access/seeing/zoom/ there is a preference you can set that is very much like Zoom It.
